Το ” Bigmouth Strikes Again ” είναι ένα τραγούδι του 1986 από το αγγλικό ροκ συγκρότημα Smiths από το τρίτο τους άλμπουμ The Queen Is Dead .
Γραμμένο από τον Johnny Marr και τον Morrissey , το τραγούδι περιέχει στίχους που απαξιώνουν τον εαυτό του που αντικατοπτρίζουν τις απογοητεύσεις του Morrissey με τη μουσική βιομηχανία εκείνη την εποχή.
Μουσικά, εμπνεύστηκε από το ” Jumpin’ Jack Flash ” των Rolling Stones και επικεντρώνεται γύρω από ένα κιθαριστικό riff που έγραψε ο Marr κατά τη διάρκεια ενός soundcheck το 1985.
Το “Bigmouth Strikes Again” κυκλοφόρησε ως το βασικό σινγκλ από το άλμπουμ, παρακάμπτοντας την προτιμώμενη επιλογή του Rough Trade , ” There Is a Light That Never Goes Out “.
Έφτασε στο νούμερο 26 στο UK Singles Chart και έκτοτε έχει γνωρίσει την αποδοχή των κριτικών μαζί με πολλές εκδόσεις που ηχογραφήθηκαν από άλλους καλλιτέχνες.
